Car Insurance Competition

Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these conditions. Entry into this competition is deemed to be an acceptance of these conditions. 

1. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over. Employees and their immediate families of the agency ‘Focal Promotions’ for the Promoter are not eligible to enter. 

2. Competition commences 15/08/2011 and entries close 30/01/2012 at 11:59pm (AEDT). Entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by the Promoter in its promotional database and not at the time of transmission by the entrant. 

3. The competition includes 6 separate prize draws to be conducted on the following dates: 2/09/11, 7/10/11, 4/11/11, 2/12/11, 6/01/12 and 3/02/12. Each draw will take place at 12.15pm at Focal Promotions, Suite 1, 20 Wangara Rd Sandringham VIC 3191. 

4. Entries will be included in the first available monthly prize draw after they are submitted and unsuccessful entries will be carried forward to the next monthly prize draw. Each entrant is eligible to win only one monthly prize draw. No more than one entry per person is permitted. 

5. In each of the 6 prize draws the first valid entry drawn will win a $500 Coles Express Gift Card. Maximum total value of prize pool is $3,000. Coles Express Gift Card conditions apply. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

6. Winner of each draw will be notified by phone and in writing and their name will be published in ‘The Australian’ newspaper seven days after each draw on the following dates: 9/09/11, 14/10/11, 11/11/11, 9/12/11, 13/01/12 and 10/02/12.

7. Subject, where relevant, to any written directions given by the relevant gaming authority, any unclaimed prizes will be awarded in a further draw to be held at 12.15pm on 4/05/12 at Focal Promotions, Suite 1, 20 Wangara Road, Sandringham VIC 3191. Winners will be notified by certified mail and the winners name will be published in ‘The Australian’ newspaper on 11/05/12. 

8. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestions on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including but not limited to, any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this competition. 

9. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and, subject to any written directions given by the various Lottery Departments, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. 

10. Any costs associated with accessing the website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. 

11. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of taking a prize. 

12. All entries remain the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. How to Enter

ONLINE: Log onto www.coles.com.au/insurance and complete the Coles Home Insurance ‘Remind Me Later' entry form by entering the required personal details.

PHONE: Call the Coles Insurance call centre on 1300 265 374 and provide the required personal details. Call costs 55 cents including GST, calls from mobile phones higher.

Only one entry per person is permitted. If an eligible entrant does not wish to participate in the promotion they must advise the promoter by calling the call centre. For details concerning how your personal information is managed, please refer to the Conditions of Entry.

Team Member 5% Discount Offer

Please note: the 5% team member benefit has been replaced by a salary sacrifice benefit.  Please call 1300 265 374 to see if you are an eligible Coles team member.  The following information applies only to existing policies with the 5% team member discount.  

If a Coles team member finishes their employment with Coles during their insurance policy period, the discount will remain applicable until the next policy renewal date.

Applicable only for current 'Coles for YOU' team Members. ‘Coles for YOU' team members include team members from the following brands: Coles, Coles Express, Kmart, Target, Liquorland, Pick and Pay Hypermarket, Vintage Cellars, BI-LO, Officeworks and Harris Technology.

A 5% discount will be provided per policy. The discount is in addition to any promotional offers, including the 5% discount received when a combined building and building and contents policy is purchased.

  2. Any advice is general only and doesn't consider your needs. Before acting on it, consider if it and the product is right for you by reading the Product Disclosure Statement and Financial Services Guide.
  3. Subject to these terms and conditions, the offer only applies to insured vehicles regularly parked overnight in postcodes 2060-2126. To be eligible for the offer, persons must hold comprehensive car insurance with NRMA, AAMI or GIO which has equivalent or substantially similar benefits to the Coles Car Insurance applied for, and switch that NRMA, AAMI or GIO car insurance to Coles Car Insurance. The commencement date of the Coles Car Insurance policy must not precede 1 August 2011.
  4. The $100 saving applies during the first year of Coles Insurance cover only.
  5. The $100 saving applies over the course of the first year of Coles Insurance cover.
  6. If you pay your premium by instalments, the saving is apportioned over the course of the first year of cover.
  7. If you cancel your Coles Insurance policy before it expires, you will not obtain the full $100 saving.
  8. The $100 saving is based on the initial proposed renewal premium amount (including applicable discounts and bonuses) where such an amount has been quoted or otherwise made available by NRMA, AAMI or GIO. However, if WGIL is satisfied that such an amount has not been made available by NRMA, AAMI or GIO, the saving is instead based on the annual premium paid or payable for the existing NRMA, AAMI or GIO policy being switched to Coles Car Insurance.
  9. The $100 saving will not apply to any proposed renewal premium amount in relation to a policy for which a quote for Coles Car Insurance that includes the $100 saving has previously been provided.
  10. The $100 saving is not valid where WGIL determines that there is insufficient evidence of the proposed renewal premium amount or, if applicable, the existing premium paid or payable.
  11. The $100 saving is subject to WGIL deeming the risk is acceptable in accordance with its underwriting criteria.
  12. Car insurance offered by NRMA, AAMI and GIO may not be identical to Coles Car Insurance. The $100 saving only applies where WGIL determines that the NRMA, AAMI or GIO car insurance is substantially similar or equivalent to the Coles Car Insurance applied for.
  13. Coles Insurance may decide to withdraw the $100 saving guarantee at any time. Speak to your Coles Insurance call centre to check availability.

Melbourne Free Roadside offer terms and conditions
