People use their cars differently, so the type of car insurance that could suit you depends upon a variety of things. For example, the value of your car, its age, how often you drive it, and what you want to be covered for are factors that are often considered when choosing car insurance.

If you’re after basic protection against damage your car may do to other people’s cars and property, then a Third Party Insurance policy may be the way to go. 

Alternatively, if you’re after more extensive cover that will also help you get your car repaired and back on road after an insured event or incident, then Comprehensive Car Insurance may suit your needs.

Our Coles Comprehensive Car Insurance policy covers the cost of repairing accidental damage to your car caused by insured events such as a collision or crash, severe weather, fire, earthquakes, theft and vandalism.

Our Coles Third Party Fire and Theft Car Insurance policy covers the cost of repairing damage to your car due to fire or theft only.

You can get your car repaired at any of our National Partner Repairers. These repairers must meet our high selection standards of repair quality and service. Using our partner repairers means you don’t need to shop around for quotes, and we will guarantee the quality, workmanship and material used in the repair.

Our Car Insurance policies don’t include roadside assistance in the cover, but you can add this as an optional extra on your policy.

There is a 24 hour activation period when adding Roadside Assistance to your policy, but you can pay an additional 'Join on Road' fee to have this waived if you require immediate assistance.

• If you have a Comprehensive Car Insurance policy, you can choose to increase your excess. However, this means in the event of a claim you'll need to pay more.
• Whether to insure your vehicle for an agreed or market value.
• Reviewing your cover to ensure it suits your current needs, including any optional extras.
• Choosing to pay your premium annually instead of monthly.
• If you're purchasing a new policy, you'll receive a 15% discount if you get a quote and purchase online.^~ This discount will apply to your first period of insurance only.
